The Center for Global Education (CGE) at the Catholic University of America (CUA) fosters a sense of international community that builds on the university's strong intellectual and Catholic mission. Scholarships for Hispanic-American Student Study in Israel

The Israel Scholarship was born out of a partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and is intended to provide opportunities for the best and brightest of the Hispanic-American community to study abroad in Israel. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for scholarships.

The Leo S. Rowe Pan American Fund, an educational loan program of the Organization of American States (OAS), helps citizens from Latin America and the Caribbean finance their research or studies at U.S. accreditied institutions by providing up to $15,000 in interest free loans.

Fulbright-mtvU Fellowship

This component of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program is a special opportunity for up to four U.S. students to pursue projects around an aspect of international contemporary or popular music as a cultural force for expression. Preference is given to creative projects that are conveyed in a dynamic fashion and are accompanied by a feasible plan. Learn more at their website.

Upcoming Conference:

IPR Conference on March 25, 2019

This conference brings together policy makers, academics, and practitioners from around the globe to discuss an old idea; security through neutrality. What used to be common place even for the United States is only a distant memory today. Nevertheless, the paradigm holds intuitive appeal for Europe and Asia. In four panels and a key note speech, this conference will introduce the main operative concepts that modern neutrals use to engage with the international community, and how they might be useful in parts of the world that do not currently deploy them. CUA Waives Tuition and Fees for up to 40 Puerto Rican Students.

In response to the destruction of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the Catholic University of America has offered to cover tuition and student fees for students in Puerto Rico who wish to continue their education without further disruption.  The University will accept up to 40 students who wish to enroll with visitor status. The 2017 CCIHEC Workshop

The Catholic Consortium for International Higher Education Collaboration (CCIHEC) invites you to its inaugural workshop in Rome, Italy, on September 9, 2017. The Brazil Scientific Mobility Program Report 

The Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP), initiated by the Brazilian Government, brought great success in motivating 100,000 Brazilian students to study in the United States and 40 other countries. Study abroad and internship opportunities were provided in the hope that those students would contribute to Brazil’s future workforce. 77 Brazilian students have attended CUA through this program. CUA Professor Gives Lectures in Global Summer Program

Dr. Joseph Capizzi, the Director of Institute of Human Ecology and a Professor at the Catholic University of America (CUA) was invited to give lectures at UNIVA, Guadalajara, Mexico. He has been teaching Service Ethics to students and faculties in the program over the summer.

On February 16 The Catholic University of America (CUA) celebrated its annual International Week: Global Fest/Embassy Row bringing together the international community featuring a wide range of delegates from embassies from around the world, international student organizations and scholars, sharing their heritage and culture.

Dean Nguyen Establishes Agreements on Visit to Vietnam

Dr. Charles C. Nguyen, Dean of the School of Engineering, visited Vietnam from March 8-20 for the purpose of establishing and renewing academic partnerships between The Catholic University and universities in Vietnam.  He formalized agreements with Can Tho University, Danang University of Science and Technology, and The Ha Noi VNU University of Science.  He also visited several other universities, such as Saigon Technology University, the International University of the Vietnam National University System, and Hochiminh City University of Technology of the Vietnam National University System.
