The Catholic University of America

Message from the Assistant Vice President for Global Education

Global education is no longer a choice - it is a necessity.

Amid our ever-shrinking world and global economy, universities have an increasing responsibility to internationalize and prepare their students to become "Global Citizens" - that is, citizens who transcend national boundaries and who understand how their actions impact the global web.

The Center for Global Education at The Catholic University of America implements the university's strategic goal of internationalization by serving as a central vibrant hub for CUA-wide global activities and coordinating, building and strengthening international programs and initiatives.

CGE's objectives include assisting the various CUA schools in developing international programs and internationalizing the curriculum, broadening the range of education abroad offerings for both CUA and non-CUA students, servicing CUA's international students' and scholars' immigration and cross-cultural needs, and expanding the range of CUA international agreements and joint initiatives with foreign partner institutions.
